Alligator Creek Bridge Coating Upgrade

We’re thrilled to announce the successful completion of our recent project with Haslin Constructions! 🚧

Our task was to prepare and apply protective coatings to the Alligator Creek Bridge in Rockhampton, Queensland. This critical infrastructure involved pier replacement and re-transom work on a rail birdge over the Fitzroy River. We started on 9th April 2024 and completed ahead of schedule on 16th April 2024.

Despite the logistical challenges posed by the remote location, our team planned material transport and crew accommodations. We ensured seamless operations by bringing extra equipment and PPE onsite to meet strict timelines and cover any contingencies.

Our internal NACE2 Inspector, Alan Vivian, led the development of an innovative coating application method. After trials and consultations, we perfected a technique to achieve the DFT in a single application. This method was crucial in completing the project efficiently and meeting all specifications.

Environmental protection was a top priority. We used industrial vacuums with HEPA filtration to prevent any contamination, safeguaring the pristine creek environment and its wildlife.

The project was managed by Alan Vivian, with Jesse Courtney as the Supervisor. Our dedicated crew’s hard work and innovative approach ensured the project was completed two days ahead of schedule and within budget.

Our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship made this project a resounding success. Check out the transformation and see how we’ve made a difference!
