Sydney Trains Platform Copings Refurbishment Contract

Sydney Trains Platform Copings Refurbishment Contract

Last year saw MMS carry out works at over 40 different stations across three zones in New South Wales: Sydney CBD Inner West, Sydney South Illawarra Region and NSW Trains South. Works included routine services such as surface preparation, painting and maintenance of coping and wayfinding signage, as well as incident reporting and maintenance reports. Corrective services included repair of concrete, brick and tile copings and joints, and replacement of Tactile Ground Surface Indicators (TGSIs).

In November we renewed the copings at Central Station, the largest and busiest railway station in New South Wales servicing all lines on the Sydney Trains network and carried out our first possession at Banksia Station to allow for the grinding and repainting of copings.

Additionally, we rolled out new stencils for safety signage to achieve consistency throughout the network and ensure customer safety remains a priority.

In 2018, MMS Group are looking to renew copings on over 400 platforms throughout the Sydney Trains network and continue to deliver the contract to a high standard. We are also equipping our teams with brand new vehicles to further enhance our service delivery and to strengthen our partnership with Sydney Trains.
